Clermont County Pancakes In The Park
Did you know Clermont County parks won a blue ribbon for their maple syrup? Volunteers and employees collect gallons of sap from the sugar bush trails in Pattison Park every year to make their signature syrup, and this March, you can try it for yourself on a stack of pancakes.
This year, Pancakes in the Park returns, offering guests pancakes, syrup, sausage, and drinks. It’s the Clermont County Park District’s 50th anniversary, and they want to make the annual event extra sweet this year. Pancakes in the Park will be held in the Pattison Park Lodge, Saturday, March 14th from 8:30 to 11:30 AM.
Tickets are available at the door. Adults cost $6, seniors $5, and kids 6-12 $3. Children 5 and under eat for free.
If you want to do a little more to support our parks (and get a little more syrup), consider the $30 bucket sponsorship. Sponsors receive two tickets to the breakfast, their name on one of the commemorative buckets lining the sugar bush trails, and – best of all – a bottle of the park’s award-winning maple syrup. To become a bucket sponsor, register here by 4:30 PM Friday, March 6th.
After a hearty breakfast, the park invites guests to join guided tours the sugar bush trail and sugar shack, watch live maple syrup making, and enjoy displays about the region’s nature and history. The Grassy Run Historical Arts Society will also join in the fun with pioneer demonstrations.
As the weather warms, the Clermont Parks offer much more than syrup. Clermont County parks provide exciting programs throughout the year. Keep up to date with all the latest events on their official calendar, and make sure to set aside March 14th for pancakes!
