Anderson Township is a greatly sought after home market. It is served by the award winning Forest Hills School District. Anderson Township got its start about 225 years ago in 1793.  Since then it has grown to be a well respected community.  The township has three main east/west roads, Beechmont Avenue, Clough Pike and St Rt 32.  It has I-275 cutting across it more southern border.  There are numerous north/south roads.

There are two high schools, Anderson and Turpin as well as a newer middle school.

Along Beechmont Avenue are many shopping, entertainment, dining and shopping opportunities.  It also includes the Anderson Town Center.  The town center replaced a former mall. It contains various restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues.
